COVID-19 Virtual Exhibitions and Updates

Online Art Sale

Social distancing has canceled many of the art sales, fairs, and vending opportunities that I am normally a part of, but I am happy to announce that several have gone virtual!

World Series SD features affordable art from worldwide established and emerging artist with all works of art priced at just $30. Be sure to follow @worldseriessd on Instagram and set a reminder for May 18th so you can DM to purchase a wide variety of works of art.⠀

World Series SD will be featuring several new and original watercolor on paper works from myself including “Too small to eat, but lovely to behold,” “Coprinus atramentarius: Inky cap (EDIBLE, but must avoid alcohol),” “Trametes versicolor: Turkey tail,” and more featuring the marasmius plicatus or pleated marasmius and volvariella speciosa. Contact @worldseriessd if you are interested in purchasing any of these works for only $30.

Support living artists now more than ever as COVID-19 has challenged the way a lot of us display and sell our work.⠀

The Front Insurgencies Exhibition Virtual Tour

The Front’s powerful Dia de la Mujer Exhibition exhibition, Insurgencies, has created a virtual gallery presence during the temporary coronavirus closure and era of social distancing. Watch Curator Sara Solaimani on Jacquelene Cristina Verna's "Pop Canonization: Difunta Correa." This excerpt was taken from a live virtual tour on May 12.

Virtual soundpedro 2020 (schizophonia) starts June 6, 2020, 7 PM.

soundpedro is an annual ear-oriented multi-sensory event, presenting artists whose work address sound and aural perception in combination with other senses, produced by the Long Beach artist group FLOOD, and hosted by Angels Gate Cultural Center.

In consultation with Angels Gate Cultural Center soundpedro 2020 will not be an onsite event, rather an online exhibition, virtual soundpedro 2020 (schizophonia), will be hosted and soundpedro looks forward to moving back onsite to Angels Gate for 2021. More details coming soon.
