Body Jewelry Displays

Threadless ends are very small (only a few millimeters tall. Imagine the hours lost spent on your hands and knees trying to track down tiny gold pieces and diamonds on your studio floor.

With limited body jewelry display options available, I set out to design a display that solves common problems piercers face with their cases. I spoke with piercers to identify challenges such as limited quantity of pieces displayed at once, easily showing customers the jewelry close up, pieces falling out and getting lost (and the hours spent on hand and knee trying to track down tiny gold pieces and dismonds), lack of display height variation, inability to build a wall of displays for large collections, the need to pre-bend threadless pins for security, and the daily hassle of removing, storing, and reassembling displays.

Designed hexagonal displays with all these points in mind, including all measurements, hole pattern, spacing, and display height.

Displays made with a proprietary backing that holds pieces in place (even if a client flips the face of the display), which does not tarnish gold. The display faces are easily removed for storage and replaced in the morning with minimal effort. Sourced a manufacturer, created samples, implemented necessary changes, and placed release and regular inventory orders.

Studios can choose from three heights, white or black, branded or unbranded options, with displays that hold either up to 44 threadless ends or 14 septum rings, accommodating diverse store needs and product ranges. The display faces may be replaced, lessening waste.

Realized products from drawings, to design, to digitization (vectorized image) through production. Package files to suit the needs of third party companies (enamel pin production, vinyl sticker, and screen printing companies). Communicate professionally to reach achievable products that meet design specifications.

Designed pin backing boards and packaging to accompany product design and branding.

Rasterized a drawing to more seamless be converted into a screen printing design.

Ability to research and source online materials and freelance teams to specialize in producing specific products.
